With the trend in price point fishing kayaks tending towards compromise in hull quality, performance, gear management, and comfort, Jackson Kayak’s Bite Angler doesn’t cut corners.

The Bite performs to the high bar of paddling and stand-to-fish standards associated with the Jackson Kayak name. New for 2021, the Bite Angler has been upgraded to the Comfort Seat, which is the perfect combination of breathability, drainage and comfort in a framed seat not traditionally found on price point kayaks.

The open-concept deck gives the angler one of our roomiest platforms to stand and fish. Ample storage fore and aft, paired with our updated bungee attachment system which prevents water from seeping into the hull, means there is plenty of storage space.

Four recessed areas on either side of the Bite Angler make quick, easy and secure storage for tackle boxes. Also included are flush mount rod holders and cup holders on both sides of the Comfort Seat.

Four molded-in inserts on the stern of the kayak will accept our newly developed Accessory Mounting Bracket, designed to accommodate accessories with the four bolt mounting pattern such as a PowerPole or Torqeedo trolling motor.

The Bite Angler is the perfect combination of comfort, smart and innovative design offered as a great value for anglers. Its at home across a diverse variety of waterways including small lakes and rivers, ponds, streams and inshore saltwater.

Asking yourself what the difference is between the Bite Angler and the Bite Rec? The Bite Angler includes flush mount rod holders while the Bite Rec does not. You can pick up a deck pad kit for both styles here:

2021 Accessories (included with new boat purchase):

  • Stand Assist Strap
  • 5" JK Sticker

I wanted a kayak I could safely stand and fish out of and the Bite Angler is it. Super stable, surprisingly fast and tracks straight. An excellent boat.

  • Love my Bite, need the new seat

I went from a Jackson Big Tuna to the Bite, bought it just as it was released. I wanted something lighter and no longer needed a tandem. Bought new for $699 at an outdoors show, it was quite a deal. The original seat is pretty uncomfortable after a couple of hours of fishing. The seat it comes with now, looks nice. I'll probably spend the $139 to upgrade. Right now though, I've had good luck using a seat cushion, which is working well. I love the storage around the seat for the smaller Plano sized boxes. Super stable and a great platform for fishing. No problem standing at all.

Bought my Bite three weeks ago from a local dealer. I love it! It's super stable and has been great for fishing. I also bought a "Larry chair" for my 5 year old son. We have enough room for the Larry chair in the front for him to ride with me.

This thing is stable and the seat is absolutely awesome in comfort. Tracks super well and is a blast to use. The only thing I wish it had was more tracks installed.

I like this kayak. The open deck lets me mount my Kayak Sailor or there is a place for my large dog. It paddles well and is surprisingly fast for a boat this wide. The only negative is the seat, which has a bar that bites you in the lower back.
